Character: percy jackson
Canon: percy jackson and the olympians - bringing him from right after the last olympian.
Age: 16

Background Information: touches ground there's so much here.

Personality:

Some people call Percy unpredictable.
Some call him stupid, or a seaweed brain.
Percy himself just wants to be a normal kid eating blue dyed pancakes and sweets his mom makes him from time to time.

Even though he's been through everything a demigod could ever go through and more, he always mentally comes back to his home with his mother whenever things get hard. Their closeness gives him as much peace as it does nerves, but but thinking of her always gives him strength. That's how it was at first, anyway -- until he met Annabeth, Grover, Nico, Thalia, Tyson, and everyone at Camp Halfblood. Even though he was dragged into a crazy life, and doesn't exactly want it, he'd rather protect the people he cares about rather than just walk away.

At the end of the day, that's the core of Percy.

His loyalty is remarked on being his Achilles heel -- specifically for Grover, Sally, and Annabeth. Especially Annabeth. Though she can take care of herself, he always gets even more specifically angry on her behalf if anything happens to her. She's been his constant, sarcastic companion since he even found out he was a demigod. And, even though he's only just started to realize it in the later Olympians books, he's found the love of his life.

He's just too dumb to notice that that's what it really is.

Percy's close other friend Grover and his half-brother Tyson, he'd gladly walk into the fire to help and protect as well. He went on a whole quest to get Grover back when he got captured by the Cyclops, and while Percy's relationship with Tyson was strained at first, he began to also care for him fiercely. Even to the point that Percy would get emotional on some Iris-messages after Tyson had gone to work in the Poseidon's forges.

The gods' opinions on Percy varies. Poseidon's proud of him, at least there's that. A lot of the other gods believe he's too unpredictable and it scares them. Because he's so powerful, and fierce in quests and fights, they get concerned about what he might do to Olympus and their reign in New York. Some of it is because of a prophecy that was told about it, the rest is because he can and will backtalk and fight every single god, mythical person, or human that tries to tell him no or get in his way. Hell, at 12 years old he figured it'd be a good idea to fight Ares because he got pissed off.

Ultimately though, even if the gods were worried about him destroying what they'd built, all he cared about at the end of the day was the other kids. The other half-bloods that aren't as lucky to have relationships with their parents or feel cast out. He calls them out on their bullshit to tell them exactly why Luke turned to the Titans and why Thalia became a Hunter of Artemis. Even though he could've had immortality, he used his favor with the gods instead to demand that they give the other kids their attentions.

Moving on from his relationships, another one of his biggest weaknesses (that he will outgrow somewhat with age and training) is his lack of attention span. Every demigod has dyslexia and ADHD -- the ADHD is attributed to great battle reflexes and the innate awareness that comes with the dangers of being a demigod. In this case, he's very much a kid with attention problems for the first couple of books, or just prone to doing reckless and sometimes what others would call stupid things. He begins to come more into himself as the series goes on, and even though he's still super headstrong and leaps before looking, he becomes more grounded. Mostly because Annabeth is there to tell him he's stupid...and he does try to listen to her. Tries.

Another thing he develops is an ability to lead. While he was pushed to the side for more "leader-like" characters like Thalia, Annabeth, and Clarisse in the beginning, he comes into being a leader under scenarios that make other people freeze. Even when Zoe freezes up in Titan's curse with fear, he's able to try to drag her through it and come out the other side (mostly) unscathed. He's not afraid of challenges and keeping himself and others alive, which is mostly why he puts himself in these situations where it calls for that he takes charge.

On the flip side of all of that, he can be pretty dumb as far as basic social interaction and common sense is concerned. It's how he earned the title "Seaweed Brain", after all, because of getting in strange situations and seeing things that are right in front of him. Some of it he attributes to his ADHD, but at some point he's just trying to make excuses. He's usually pretty oblivious to the way people feel about him or if they're trying to make a social cue to him, often overlooking these things for whatever else may be going on at the time. The obliviousness oftentimes gets him into strange situations, like ending up in Medusa's shop or being swayed by cute girls that ended up turning him into a guinea pig.

Despite everything he went through and will probably still go through as a demigod, he's still a silly goofy teen with a heart of gold and a short fuse for anything that might happen to the people he loves fiercely. The only problems is that he has a extreme fear of flying and doesn't like to be told "no", but everyone has a few problems with themselves, right?

Abilities & Inventory: abilities! as for tools, he'll be bringing his pen-sword.

Suitability & Plans: i've always loved Percy as a character and i've always loved to develop character relationships across canons. he's pretty outgoing and open and even though he does have his close relationships in canon, i think he'd be okay for the most part whether or not he gets castmates. he'll make more relationships, miss Annabeth and the rest of his little friend-trio fiercely, but it won't be enough to render him unplayable.

i'm a flexible player honestly and even though i don't have super overarching plans coming into the game, i like making them when i come in and i start seeing the atmosphere of the game and connections my characters might make. so the biggest short term goal i suppose would be to gain some cr and see how he bounces off of characters that aren't in his own little world.

Character: Percy Jackson

Age: 18-ish.

Background Information: here's a link

But as I said, it's also kind of a curse. His loyalty for others will make him have very little regard for himself. The gods themselves remark on the fact that it'll get him killed. A lot of his regrets are tied up in that too, feeling as if he could've been better or done something more to have not gotten some of the demigods killed in the war. It's something he thinks about often, even though others tell him that there's nothing he could've done differently.

ARMADA SELECTION

I think that Percy could fit into either armada, but at this point I'm leaning more towards Corsair. He's very adventurous and impulsive, because what is thinking about your decisions before you jump into them? And, as much as he can work in groups, he usually ends up running off by himself doing some dumb shit in the middle of a fight or in an intense moment.

About
Perseus "Percy" Jackson was born on August 18th, to Poseidon, the Greek god of the seas, storms, and the creator of horses, and Sally Jackson, a mortal who could see through the Mist. He was named after the famous Greek hero Perseus by his mother for good luck because his namesake was one of the few heroes who had a happy ending and died a peaceful death.

first impressions
Hazel stated that "[Percy] had the good looks of a Roman god." According to Piper in The Mark of Athena, Percy smells like the sea, looks like a skater and a troublemaker, but she can still see what women would like about him, even if he isn't her type. Piper later states that when Percy pleads, his sea-green eyes seemed to be "like a cute baby seal that needed help" and marvels at how Annabeth had ever won an argument with him.

In The Hidden Oracle, the god Apollo is struck by Percy's close resemblance to his father Poseidon, noting that he had the same handsome features, "which easily shifted from humor to anger." He was noted to have long, nimble fingers, with Apollo claiming that Percy's hands were perfect for a musician.

features
Percy has tan skin, disheveled, jet-black hair swept to one side as “if he just took a walk to the beach” and sea-green eyes, which he inherited from his father and grandmother. He also has a sarcastic, troublemaker smile. Percy gets his handsome looks from his father, a reason why Medusa wanted to preserve a statue of him. He doesn't seem to know it or may simply refuse to acknowledge it, but a great number of girls find him extremely attractive.

At the beginning of the series, Percy was average in athletics but later from his training, becomes very fit, muscular, and lean. He obtained a gray streak of hair in The Titan's Curse from holding the sky but has since lost it, as stated in The Mark of Athena. After he slew Polybotes in The Son of Neptune, Percy received a tattoo of a trident and SPQR on the underside of his left arm to signify that he is a full member of the Roman Twelfth Legion Fulminata. After their reunion in The Mark of Athena, Annabeth says that Percy grew even more handsome, muscular, taller, and tanner.

Powers
Hydrokinesis
Percy can control great volumes of water to a very high degree, lifting 10,000 gallons of water in The Demigod Files. He can dry himself and items (such as a lighter) underwater as long as he holds onto it, extract water from petrified seashells, create oxygen bubbles underwater for people who cannot breathe underwater, propel himself through water, summon waves that can easily sink ships, as well as control water in order to make it explode or use it to grab something. Percy's skill allowed him to temporarily contend with Ares even while he was unfamiliar with his powers. However, he has a harder time controlling the rivers of the Underworld, particularly while in a weakened state. In The Demigod Files, he managed to lift the River Lethe, but as he was weakened from a Keres' claw, he struggled with it. He also struggled with the River Cocytus after falling into it in The House of Hades due to the negative effect it had on his mind.

Watercraft Manipulation
Percy possesses an intimate awareness of any ship he is on (sailing ships, canoes, motorboats, possibly submarines) and can telekinetically operate one, although he has so far only shown control over sailing vessels and similar boats. Percy discovers this power when he is able to control the Queen Anne's Revenge in The Sea of Monsters. Later, in The Son of Neptune, even while amnesic he is able to control the Roman rowboat Pax in this manner, displaying a few new aspects to the ability including magically cleaning the boat by commanding a piece of steel wool similar to how he can command a ship's rigging and sails. By the end of the journey, Percy's willpower is the only thing keeping the boat together and it eventually falls apart after they abandon ship. In The Mark of Athena, Percy is able to control the Argo II, releasing the dock ties, weighing the anchor and unfurling the sails as Annabeth fires the engine.

Atmokinesis (limited)
Percy has limited control over weather. He can summon storms, such as miniature hurricanes. With his Curse of Achilles, his hurricanes were powerful enough to extinguish the fires on Hyperion's body and leave the powerful Titan vulnerable to attack. However, Percy's control is limited and his power drains him over time. By the events of The Son of Sobek he is able to sustain the storm to knock a giant crocodile off its footing with less effort than his first use of the skill, although it still drains him over time.

ADHD
Percy's supernatural alertness and keen senses that keep him ready for, and alive, in battle. It also lets him analyze his opponents fighting style as well as pick up minor details about an opponent, such as where their muscles tense so he can tell which direction they will attack from.

Swordsmanship
Percy is a naturally talented swordsman. His skills continue to grow as time passes, capable of holding his own against and defeating larger, more experienced, and more powerful opponents, including several monsters and Ares, although he had underestimated Percy. In The Lightning Thief, he was able to disarm Luke, the most skilled swordsman at Camp Half-Blood for the last three hundred years, in a swordsmanship class with a complex maneuver he just learned. In The Sea of Monsters, even when Percy had only trained for a year at the time, he was already regarded by other campers to be better than any other camper in Camp Half-Blood at swordplay in the last 100 years, with many comparing him to Luke. At this point, Percy sparred against entire cabins at a time, and rather easily beat the guys from the Apollo Cabin. Despite being out of practice when he fought Luke, Percy was briefly able to fight him off, but was overpowered rather easily. He repeatedly injured the giant cyclops Polyphemus until he was laying on his back. In The Battle of the Labyrinth, Percy was skilled enough to defeat Ethan Nakamura and beat a recently awakened Kronos without the Curse of Achilles. In The Son of Neptune, even after losing the Curse of Achilles, he fended off an entire army of continually resurrecting ghosts by himself while still protecting Frank and the golden eagle of the legion, as well as easily defeated an Amazon. According to Frank, Percy "fought like a demon." When possessed by eidolons, Percy fought Jason on even footing (Piper couldn't believe the speed of their sword fighting which she described as a 'blur', as they exchanged multiple blows that lasted only a second). It should be noted that Jason was distracted by Piper's charmspeak twice, which allowed the possessed Percy to eventually exploit the opening in Jason's defense. In The Son of Sobek, Carter admitted that Percy was a way better swordsman than he was even with Carter's specialty being combat magic. The only people shown to be his superior are Luke (who was possessed by Kronos at the time) and his half-brother Chrysaor.
